In these lectures we are mainly interested in specific formalisms applied to various quantum systems. At first we treat atomic redistribution spectra in a second quantized form. Then we consider atomic absorption spectroscopy and atomic Faraday rotation spectra by introducing a Liouville space formalism. Next we treat the subject of statistical properties of radiation in the context of the Casimir effect. We then move to Dirac’s theory in its four-dimensional formulation, with time and space coordinates treated at equal level, the whole compensated by a particular metric. Using then propagator theory, we treat electron-electron scattering, electron self-energy and vacuum polarization. A particular electron probability is derived and compared to the hole theory result. Finally, we stress the fact that the Pauli matrices are the source of more general symmetry transformations like Lorentz boost and Gell-Mann quark symmetries. We complete the lectures by a short study on Bell’s inequalities and the Einstein Podolsky Rosen (EPR)Paradox.
