A South Carolina and United States History of the Experiences of Families That Were Victimized By Human Trafficking. The first book, The Doyle Experience in South Carolina: A Family History and Photo Album: A Family’s Journeys from Afrika, Enslavement in America and American Apartheid in Dixie, was my maternal family history. This, my paternal story, starts with the Afrikan, Lumbo, who was my great-great-great grandfather. My father, Burnette William Gallman, Sr. provided a legacy and blueprint for me to follow and helped inspire in me the early efforts to find our family history despite my mother’s serious fears that I’d lose my sanity.
